Fetch Data
Menlo pulls all issues and merge/pull requests from your repository for the selected year. Only metadata — no source code is ever downloaded. Takes 10–60 seconds.
Analyse
AI categorises every issue and MR against R&D-relevant themes: AI & LLM, infrastructure, security, real-time systems, and more. Research spikes are flagged as strong HMRC evidence. Monthly delivery timelines show sustained R&D activity.
Generate Narratives
Define your R&D themes, and AI writes structured narratives following HMRC’s 5-section format: the advance sought, the uncertainties, how they were resolved, the work done, and the competent professional statement. Each section references real issues and MRs as evidence.
